Biography
Dr Maxine David is a Lecturer in EU Studies at the Institute for History, Faculty of Humanities at Leiden University. She is a Foreign Policy analyst, specialising in Russian and EU foreign policy. Published works include the 2020 Routledge Handbook on EU-Russian Relations: Structures, Actors, Issues, for which Maxine was one of the two editors and a contributing author. Other publications include 'Nakedly Normative: A Feminist (Re-)Imagination of Planetary Politics', co-authored with Roberta Guerrina and Katharine Wright and published in JCMS in 2023, Maxine has an extensive, wide-ranging teaching portfolio and is currently teaching courses on EU-Russia Relations, Understanding the EU as a Foreign Policy Actor and International Intervention.
