UACES 54th Annual Conference in Trento

Scholars, researchers, and experts from across Europe will come together in Trento to exchange ideas, insights, and innovative research in the field of European Studies. Panel discussions, interactive panels, and networking opportunities will provide a unique space for academic growth and collaboration.

In 2024, UACES will be offering the main conference as a three-day in-person event at the University of Trento, from the 1st to the 4th of September, with a virtual day on the 9th of September.

The film premiered at the 20th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2018, won two awards at the International Documentary Festival of Ierapetra in 2019, and was also screened at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association in Washington, DC and the 2021 World Congress of Political Science of the International Political Science Association. According to the Filmaker, the objective of the film, which will be screened for the first time in the UK, is to engage students, researchers and the public with the nature of charismatic leadership and the role of institutions in contemporary politics.

Thursday 23 May 10:30am to 17:30pm. This all-day event will examine the interactions between border practices and the character of the EU, exploring how the new lines of inclusion/exclusion drawn in Europe’s peripheries and on distant shores inform the political identity of the EU.
