Ideas on Europe is an online platform for original and informed analysis and comment on European issues. UACES members can be part of this forum and start their own blog that focuses on a specific field or topic. The platform has a readership of over 2000 users each month. Every published article is automatically posted on the Ideas on Europe Twitter channel which has currently 12k followers.

Our Funding Opportunities

UACES members have enjoyed our funding and networking opportunities for over 50 years. UACES has supported its members in their careers and promoted the study, research and teaching of contemporary Europe through a variety of activities and initiatives.

European Studies Societies

Funding of up to £300 to support student societies or groups related to the study of Europe

RENPET Network Residencies

Bursaries for PhD students and ECRs to undertake residencies (2-3 months) at a university in the RENPET network.

Scholarships

Travel bursaries for postgraduate students doing essential field-work.

Microgrants

New grant scheme aimed at supporting research for our Early-Career and Individual Members.

Travel Support

Financial assistance for students and ECRs attending UACES events who would not otherwise receive any funding towards their travel expenses.
