JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies is a leading multidisciplinary journal publishing high-quality, accessible research advancing debates in European integration and comparative regionalism.

The Journal seeks to reach beyond the field’s traditional foundations, with a strong focus on the politics of European integration.

As a not-for-profit organisation, UACES reinvests all income from JCMS into member activities and the wider academic community.

Call for New JCMS Editors Now Open

UACES and Wiley are inviting applications for the positions of Editors of JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies.

JCMS has an impact factor of 4.0 and sits among the top 10 journals in International Relations, the top 30 in Political Science and the top 90 in Economics. We are looking for a multidisciplinary editorial team with clear strategic objectives and a credible plan for delivering them.

The new editorial team will phase in from January 2027, with editorial control from 1 July 2027. The appointment runs for five years and can be extended by two years, to a maximum of seven.

The role carries an honorarium and a budget covering conference attendance, marketing and Annual Lectures. Editors also become ex officio Charity Trustees of UACES.
