Social Media and PR Assistant (Journals)
Are you passionate about social media, PR, and contemporary European Studies? Do you have a knack for creating engaging content and building online communities?
UACES (University Association for Contemporary European Studies) is seeking a Social Media and PR Assistant to join our small, high-performing team.
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the online presence of our prestigious journals, the Journal of Common Market Studies (JCMS) and Contemporary European Politics (CEP). Working closely with journal editors and the UACES office team, you'll drive engagement, increase submissions, and promote the latest research to a wider audience.

About You
We’re looking for:

A creative and strategic thinker with a passion for social media and PR.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Experience with social media management and content creation tools.

Analytical skills to assess and improve the performance of our content.

A collaborative team player who is also able to work independently.
Contract
Contract: Permanent, part-time.
Hours: 9 hours per week.
Salary: £13.15 per hour plus benefits.
Location: Remote with occasional travel to the UACES office or events.
Reports to: Executive Director with regular communication with journal editors.
Notice period: One month.
Candidates should have the right to work in the UK at the time of appointment.
Appointment is subject to receiving two satisfactory references and successfully completing a three-month probationary period.
