Spotlight On: De Gruyter Handbook of European Union Environmental Policy (Book Launch)
We are delighted to invite you to the online launch of the De Gruyter Handbook of European Union Environmental Policy.
This book launch and panel discussion will take place on Monday 1 June, 15:00–16:30 BST, and will be held online via Teams.
About the Book
Environmental policy in all its dimensions represents the response to the clearest and most urgent existential threat to the well-being of the planet and all species inhabiting it. The European Union, as both a leading historical and current contributor to this global threat as well as arguably the most consistent global political leader over the last three decades in shaping an environmental response, demands close scrutiny and understanding.
The De Gruyter Handbook of European Union Environmental Policy provides a vital contribution to this task. Authored by a diverse group of distinguished scholars, it offers cutting-edge analysis of the processes, actors and policy dynamics that structure EU environmental governance. The chapters focus on the political behaviour and interaction of a wide range of policy actors, while also reflecting on potential directions for analytical, conceptual and empirical innovation in EU environmental policy research.
This handbook will be of interest to scholars, students and practitioners working in EU environmental policy, climate governance, sustainability, energy politics and European integration.
