DIMES Workshop

Diversity, Inclusion and Multidisciplinarity in European Studies

The Project

The DIMES project seeks to explore ways to increase diversity within the field of European Studies, in particular with regards to the ethnicity, disciplinary focus and geographical location of its participants. The Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union funded this Jean Monnet Project ‘Diversity, Inclusion and Multidisciplinarity in European Studies’ (DIMES). This video was recorded at the inaugural DIMES workshop which was hosted at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and brought together over 20 participants from across the world.

Project coordinators: Maria Garcia (University of Bath), Maxine David (Leiden University), Toni Haastrup (University of Stirling), Dickson Ajisafe (University of Pretoria), Frank Mattheis (Université libre de Bruxelles & University of Pretoria).

Keynote: In conversation with Dr Densua Mumford

Densua Mumford is Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs. She completed her DPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford. Prior to this, she gained a BA in Politics at the University of Nottingham and a MA in International Relations, which was jointly awarded by the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen.
