CfP: The Brexit process, differentiation and (dis)integration in Europe
The UACES Research Network on Differentiated Integration in a post-Brexit Europe, the University of Agder's Jean Monnet Chair in European Governance and the Department of Political Science and Management are pleased to send this call for papers for the final RN conference, which has tentatively been scheduled to be held Thursday and Friday, April 23 and 24 April, at the University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway.
We especially welcome contributions on the following themes: (1) the causes of differentiation; (2) the impact of differentiation on (non-)member states and/or specific policy areas; (3) how differentiation is implemented across Europe; (4) how Brexit impacts the study of differentiation (both in terms of differentiated integration and disintegration); (5) the constitutional and legal aspects of differentiation and (6) comparisons of differentiation across different regional and international organizations. Other themes and issues related to differentiated integration and disintegration are also welcomed.
All papers will be considered for publication in the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Differentiated Integration, co-edited by the Research Network Conveners (Benjamin Leruth, Stefan Gänzle and Jarle Trondal).
The hosts will contribute towards travel (economy class) and accommodation expenses. Submissions from early career researchers (PhD students or within three years since completion) working on the topic are especially encouraged and will be considered for a £200 award (Best contribution by an ECR) by the Research Network's convenors.
The deadline is Monday 2 September.
