REF Impact Network - Inaugural Workshop

The Network will be led by Prof Roberta Guerrina (University of Bristol), Prof Simon Usherwood (Open University) and Prof Richard Whitman (University of Kent).

UACES members are invited to join us for the inaugural workshop of the UACES REF Impact Network. The workshop will take place in central Birmingham on 13 January 2023, 10:00-16:00. Contributors to the workshop include: Prof Tony Chafer (University of Portsmouth), Prof Fiona de Londras (University of Birmingham), Prof Michael Dougan (University of Liverpool), Prof Simon Green (Aston University), Prof Urfan Khaliq (Cardiff University) and Prof Laura Sjoberg (Royal Holloway, University of London).

The workshop will bring together REF 2021 panel members with colleagues to reflect on the process, particularly with regard to impact and to look forward to future collaborations that might further improve individual and collective outcomes. Both experienced REF leads and those who are new to research lead roles are encouraged to attend. The aim is to use this event as a point from which to launch a series of events over the next few years focused on helping our members contribute to the success of European Studies work in the next REF (whether via Politics, Area Studies, Law or another panel).

If you would like to attend, please register (for free) here. Deadline for registrations is 15 December. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

This event is only open to UACES members. If you are not a UACES member, you can join here.
