- Where do I register upon arrival?
Registration will take place in the Student Life Building and opens on Monday 1 September at 08:00. Look for the UACES welcome signage.
Please make sure to go to registration as this is where you will collect your delegate badge. If you need assistance, a member of the UACES team will be there to answer any questions.
Don’t forget, registration is also your opportunity to take home your own bespoke Annual Conference tote bag!
- Is there a prayer room available?
Yes. The multi-faith (Prayer) room is located on the 1st floor to the rear of the Student Life Building, in room 1.17.
- Is there a quiet space?
Yes. The Quiet Room, a space to get some respite from the conference, is located in G.S4. We would like this space to remain work-free and ask all delegates to refrain from using this space to take calls.
- Are there facilities available for families?
Yes. The family room, a dedicated space for feeding and resting, is located on Upper Ground 14 of the Student Life Building. The key is on the SAW reception desk.
- Who do I talk to about my accessibility requirements?
If you have accessibility requirements, please email us at [email protected] or let us know at the registration desk and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
- What bathroom facilities are available?
Redmonds Building: Accessible toilets.
Student Life Building: Accessible and Gender-neutral toilets located on the Lower Ground Floor, Upper Ground Floor and 1st Floor.- How do I download the conference app?
Downloading the UACES 55th Annual Conference 2025 app will help you make the most out of your conference experience. With the app, you'll have the full agenda at your fingertips, allowing you to plan your days and never miss a session. You'll also gain access to the list of participants, making it easier to network and connect with fellow delegates. The app provides detailed information about our sponsors and publishers, so you can explore the resources and opportunities they offer. Additionally, you'll find general details about the conference ensuring you're well-prepared for your visit.
How to get the app:

Go to the app store on your Android or iPhone.

Search for “Conference4me” and download the app.

Open the app after installation.

In the search bar, type “UACES 55th Annual Conference 2025”.

Select “UACES 55th Annual Conference 2025” from the results and allow the data to download.

You now have full access to the conference app.

- How do I connect to Wi-Fi at the conference?
The LJMU_Guest Wi-Fi network is provided for all visitors. The service is offered by Sky and delegates will need to connect to the network on arrival by filling in a short registration form.
Eduroam is also available for participants from other academic institutions. Delegates should connect using the same credentials given by their home institution.
- How do I connect with others on social media?
If you're sharing your conference experience on social media, tag us! You can find us on Bluesky: @uaces.bsky.social, UACES (University Association for Contemporary European Studies) on LinkedIn, and uaceseurope on Facebook. Don't forget to use the hashtag #UACES2025.
- What sessions are being recorded?
All three plenary sessions will be recorded. These recordings will be made available on YouTube after the conference, allowing you to revisit the insightful discussions or catch up on any sessions you may have missed.
- Can I take photos?
Yes, you're welcome to take photos during the conference. We will also be capturing moments of the conference on camera. However, please be mindful not to distract speakers by using flash.
- What do I do if I don't want my photo included in the conference?
If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let a member of staff know at the registration desk when you arrive.
- Do you have a Code of Conduct?
