Expert on Europe

Mike is a trained economist and political scientist and has finalized his PhD in European Energy Policies at the University of Maastricht. He is manager of the Market Supervision Committee at the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET). Mike is also coordinator of the EFET Training and education programmes. Following the coronavirus pandemic, he was appointed coordinator of the overall EFET Covid-19 response. Mike worked previously for the Ministry of Affairs of Romania, the European Union Delegation to the United States and in the energy sector since 2014. He is a native Romanian and speaks fluently English and French.
