Expert on Europe

My research interests are in EU health law and policy - including how EU law and policy is implemented in Member States and how it influences national reforms. "Competition Policy in Healthcare - Frontiers in Insurance-Based and Taxation-Funded Systems" (Intersentia 2019) is based on my doctoral research into competition reforms in Dutch and English healthcare, and have published on the European Health Union in the European Journal of Risk Regulation (2020), and in a forthcoming edited collection "European Social Policy and COVID-19" (eds) Boerner and Seeleib-Kaiser (OUP 2023). I co-convene the EU Health Governance Research Network which runs until 2024, and moderate an virtual seminar series, Health in Europe.
