Relevant soft skills in volunteering work

Themes and goals of the event:
The seminar aims to contribute to disseminate the results of European project InVolvE - IncreasingVolunteers' Skills across Europe as well as sharing the tools to identify needs for capacity buildingamong volunteers. This will be done by equipping participants with the proper knowledge and toolsto plan and implement soft skills training. Ultimately, this will improve the effectiveness, efficiencyand quality of volunteer engagement.The main objectives are:• To help beneficiaries understand the importance of soft skills training in volunteering.
To improve the beneficiaries with the ability to: identify their specific needs for capacitybuilding among volunteers and develop suitable curriculum.
To help beneficiaries use assessment tools in their home environment.
To provide the participants with the relevant knowledge and to facilitate a discussion abouttraining and curriculum development with their home project partners.The seminar will include an exchange of practical experiences with relevant local stakeholders.
Expected results:• Improved understanding of the concept of soft skills and respective needs assessment.• Improved confidence in implementing needs assessment tools.• Opportunity to meet and build a network of peers interested in soft skills training impactassessment.• Better quality in volunteer management.
On request, event fee and travel costs will be granted by Erasmus National Agency.
