Does your research have an emphasis on Europe? At the 37th UACES Annual Conference, there will be seven research sessions where papers from a broad range of European-related disciplines will be presented. There will also be the following plenary presentations at the event:

The conference will be hosted by the Centre for European & International Studies Research at the University of Portsmouth.

22 July 2007: The UACES office will be closed after Friday 31st August - we will re-open on Friday 7th September.
30 July 2007: The final plenary speaker, Roger Liddle, has now been confirmed.
11 July 2007: Please contact us if you have not received confirmation of your registration (e.g a receipt or email) - there have been postal strikes in the UK and we have received 'blank' faxes so it is possible that we have not received your registration form. Also, spam filters may be screening out our emails inadvertently, so you may not have seen some of the messages sent by us.
5 June 2007: The programme for the Research Papers has been published. From the list of research paper titles, just follow the links under each name for the relevant research session. A link to the general conference programme is below.
Also travelling to Pisa for the ECPR conference from 6-8 September 2007? There are direct flights from London Gatwick with British Airways and from Bournemouth with Ryanair.

The Centre for SouthEast European Studies (CSEES) was established in 2002 with the mission to create an academic Centre of Excellence focusing on the security and defence aspects of South East Europe.
CSEES is a fully independent, non-party political Bulgaria-based NGO with extensive expertise on the security and defence sector in SEE and the Wider Black Sea Area. The scope of its projects includes capacity building of State and local institutions, as well as security policy advice with regional dimensions and training of the successor generation of security experts.
CSEES has implemented a number of international projects, funded by NATO’s Science for Peace and Security Programme, the US Government Democracy Commission, and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).
The 2006 conference was held in Limerick, Ireland and the 2005 conference was held in Zagreb, Croatia. If you have not attended a UACES conference before, please visit Limerick and Zagreb pages for an idea of what to expect.
