Do you have an interest in Europe? The 38th UACES Annual Conference is an opportunity to interact with delegates from a broad range of European-related disciplines. As well as plenary sessions, there will be a large number of research papers presented at this event. The conference will be hosted by the Edinburgh Europa Institute who celebrate their 40th birthday in 2008.

19 March 2008: There will be a reception at the National Gallery of Scotland hosted by the Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP, First Minister, who will also make an address
18 March 2008: A provisional programme for the research sessions is now available
17 March 2008: PowerPoint will be available to research paper-givers but NOT OHP
25 February 2008: The website has been updated with further information on registration, accommodation, an updated programme, and a list of all the paper titles and abstracts that have been accepted for the conference

Of interest to those who like to combine travel with conferences, Edinburgh is home to a variety of Festivals over the summer months, and has a real buzz to it. During Festival time, Edinburgh is bursting with people, with every hotel room, spare room, couch and floor-space usually occupied. Early booking for accommodation is strongly recommended.
