The EU inside out: a summer course unlike any other.

With its design, its setting and its exciting range of options, KU Leuven's EU summer course truly stands out from the crowd.

During the two-week residential course you combine a 24-hr multi-disciplinary core component with two majors, chosen from a list of five. The summer course includes four site visits to Brussels and two one-day weekend excursions. As to evaluation, you can choose to write a paper for one or even both your chosen majors, thus earning a grade rather than just a certificate of attendance. You can also sign up for a one-week trip following the residential course, covering six international institutions at The Hague, Luxembourg, and Strasbourg.

A distinctive asset is our closeness to EU institutions, both geographically and organizationally. Many of our star speakers (including our keynote speaker) are top professionals at EU institutions, and four sessions take place at EU institutions.

From Leuven to Europe and back

The four organizing Faculties (Arts; Economics and Business; Law; and Social Sciences) have all accrued a wealth of experience at English-taught international master programs and short-term courses. Leuven's University, chartered in 1425, ranks 63rd and 82nd in the Times HE and QS World rankings, respectively. Leuven itself, last but not least, is an architectural, cultural and gastronomic delight, vibrantly alive 24/7, allowing you to fully appreciate the best of European lifestyle.
