The 2005 UACES conference was hosted by the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb.

The conference looked at past and future enlargements of the European Union. As well as research sessions, there were three plenary sessions which focused on the key themes of: Identity & Diversity; Enlarging Europe; Croatia, South Eastern Europe & the European Union.
