Biography
I am a Professor of European Studies at NTNU (Norway). My research addresses historical and contemporary political actors and processes impacting essential international and European development. It covers key areas of (1) the diplomatic and political history of 20th-century Europe, with a focus on the role of individual leaders in Franco-German cooperation during the Cold War period and from the 1990s onwards; and (2) transnational history, with an emphasis on the role of experts and transnational societal actors in policy-making processes across several decades within the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy and in the European Parliament. I have published extensively on these topics.
