Biography
David joined the EU Council Secretariat in 1986 from the private sector. In July 2018 he was appointed to lead the new Digital Services Department. He was previously Deputy Director-General for Administration from 2010, covering security, safety, IT, protocol, meeting services, interpreting, buildings and logistics. From 2002 until 2010 he was director of the Private Office of the Council’s Secretary-General, Pierre de Boissieu. David previously worked as head of the press office and on treaty negotiations, trade, development and foreign policy. He has chaired various senior Council and inter-institutional committees since 2002.
