The email list is used by UACES members to communicate directly to the wider membership, to let them know about upcoming events, job opportunities and other activities. The service is run by Jiscmail and the UACES list has well over a 1,000 subscribers.

  • Receive the UACES e-Newsletter

UACES News is a quarterly e-publication which provides readers with up-to-date information on events, recent publications, opportunities and insights from the world of European Studies.

To join, send an email to admin@uaces.org with the subject 'Group Membership' and the following text in the body of the email:

join uaces Title Firstname Lastname organisation dept

For example:

join uaces Miss Jane Smith university of london politics

You will receive confirmation within a week. Your details will be added to our membership database in order to administer your group membership benefits and monitor your eligibility. Please read our privacy policy here.


Apply for Small Event Grants

The Small Event funding stream is for organisers of one-off events, typically conferences or workshops. Proposals are welcome on any aspect of contemporary European Studies, particularly interdisciplinary proposals which encourage the participation of younger academics.

Successful applications will receive up to 1,000 GBP for their event.

Register at the members' rate. The call for papers closes on 19 January.

Where other events offer a UACES members' discount, you are eligible to register at that rate.

Please note, for each event, a maximum of 10 members of staff or students from the same UACES Group Member can register at the members' rate.
