Since 1967, UACES has supported its members in their careers, and promoted the study of contemporary Europe. Our international and interdisciplinary community is made up of academics, students and practitioners interested in Europe and the EU.

Europe in the Archives, Europe in the FutureAcademics and practitioners gathered for a 2-day conference in October 2017 at the EUI in Florence. The event drew on the archives of the last 50 years of UACES and the UK's relationship with the EU, to reflect on the future of Europe and European Studies. First Look at the UACES ArchivesQuincy Cloet, Aberystwyth University, was awarded funding on a competitive basis to travel to the EUI in Florence and conduct research in the newly-deposited UACES archives. Quincy presented his findings at the 'Europe in the Archives, Europe in the Future' conference in October 2017.

Treaties of Rome 60A travelling exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome (1957-2017), organised by the Historical Archives of the European Union, European University Institute.
