PhD candidate in European Politics at the Department of International, European and Area Studies, Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences (Greece). The PhD research focuses on Frontex and border control and is funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). MSc Econ in Security Studies, Aberystwyth University (U.K.) and B.A. in International & European Studies, University of Piraeus (Greece). Currently, research assistant at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) for the 'Evaluation of the Common European Asylum System under Pressure and Recommendations for Further Development' (CEASEVAL project). Past professional experience at the Greek Asylum Service, Frontex and at the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU (DG C, Unit Enlargement)
