Bernd Parusel, born 1976, works as an expert for the Swedish National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) at the Swedish Migration Agency. His research interests include international migration, migration and asylum policy in Sweden and the EU, unaccompanied minors, visa policy, circular migration, and migration statistics. Before taking up his current positions, Bernd has worked as a researcher at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in Nuremberg (Germany) and as a lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Bernd is a political scientist and holds a doctorate from the Institute for Migration and Intercultural Studies of Osnabrück University.
