Biography

Nikolaos Papadopoulos (1993) is a PhD Candidate at the Department of International and European Law of Maastricht University. He studied Law at the European University of Cyprus under scholarships for excellent academic performances and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree magna cum laude in 2015. Parallel to that he studied Political Science and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, receiving a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in 2016. Following that, he studied European Law at the University of Maastricht obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree cum laude in 2018. Since September 2017, Nikolaos is a qualified lawyer at the Athens Bar Association. He is an alumnus of the American College of Greece and is fluent in Greek (native speaker), English and German and has a limited working capacity in French and Dutch. His professional and research interests include European Union Law, European social rights, law and politics, social movements and legal mobilization.
