Dr Egle Dagilyte is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) and a Fellow of the Centre of European Law at King's College London. She also acts as the Director for Learning, Teaching and Assessment at ARU Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences, sits on the Executive Committee of the Association of the Law Teachers (ALT) and on the Steering Group of the Legal Education Research Network (LERN). With academic degrees from Lithuania, Sweden and the UK, Dr Dagilyte also trained at the Court of Justice of the European Union (EU) in Luxembourg. In the past, she acted as a country expert on the European Commission's projects and has consulted non-governmental organisations and a number of IT business start-ups.Egle's academic interests lie in the area of human rights, European Union (EU) constitutional and internal market law, in particular the relationship between the EU and Member States, EU citizenship, free movement of persons and migration. She is especially interested in solidarity and how it manifests itself as a fundamental value in European law and policy, as well as social rights.
