Dr Raluca Csernatoni is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Lecturer with the Institute of Political Studies (IPS) at Charles University in Prague. She completed her PhD with the distinction Cum Laude with the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. She was a visiting researcher with the program Sécurité, paix, et conflits at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). She was awarded a research fellowship with the Study Programme on European Security (SPES) with the Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP) in Berlin. She has worked at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence (RHID) and its Centre for Security and Defence Studies (CSDS) in Brussels and she was a research officer with the Brussels-based think tank, the International Security Information Service - Europe. She lectured on the CSDP in Action: CSDP Missions and Operations, as part of the European Security and Defence College's (ESDC) Advanced Courses for Political Advisors in EU Missions and Operations. Her areas of interest range from critical security studies, the sociological turn in international relations theory, critical technology theory, the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), to new dual-use technologies.
