This event will focus on the skills required by European Studies PhD students in order to successfully complete doctoral work. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to meet fellow students who are engaged in related areas of research.

The first day will be a publishing workshop, particularly focused on preparing, reviewing, revising and submitting articles to academic journals.On the second day there will be a series of seminars focused on providing practical advice to students at all stages of their European Studies PhD.

Travel and Accommodation Funding

There is no further funding available for travel and accommodation, as we have filled the 50 available places.

UACES is able to offer up to 90 GBP towards economy class travel and up to 50 GBP towards accommodation for students attending this event. We can offer this funding to up to 50 students - the funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis (i.e. the first 50 to register for the conference).

Getting There

Train, Tube, Bus

Swedenborg House is situated in central London, a five-minute walk from Holborn tube station (on the Central & Piccadilly Lines) and a ten-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station (on the Central & Northern Lines).

The closest mainline stations are Euston, King's Cross and St Pancras International (15-20 minute walk).
