Getting to Lisbon

The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport just 4 miles from Lisbon. The Metro will take you directly from the airport into the city centre.

There are regular connections from London Heathrow and London Gatwick (approximately three hours) as well as from most other large cities in the UK and European capitals.

Getting to the University of Lisbon, Faculdade de Direito (School of Law)

The University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law is located in the city centre between Palma de Baixo and Alvalade.

The Faculty of Law is most easily accessible from the Cidade Universitaria (yellow line) or Alvalade (green line) stops on the metro. It is a short walk to the conference venue from these stops. View metro map.

The university is also served by a number of bus stops close to the conference venue. The following bus routes have stops close to the venue including: 731, 735, 738, 755, 764, 768, 783, 798.

Registration and research sessions take place in the Faculdade de Direito. Plenary sessions take place in the Aula Magna (Edifício da Reitoria).

Please ensure you travel with your passport and that it will be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Portugal, and that you are covered by your institution’s travel insurance or take out travel insurance to cover the trip, and if you intend to drive you may need to acquire an international driving license from the Post Office.
