UACES 46th Annual Conference

5-7 September 2016, Queen Mary University of London

  1. The 2016 UACES conference took place among the hustle and bustle of London’s East End. The three-day event was attended by over 450 delegates many of whom presented their original research on all areas of contemporary European Studies.

Complementing the regular research programme was a well attended teaching workshop and a number of fringe events on the broader issues surrounding EU studies and the profession. There was also time for more informal discussions at two drinks receptions, the conference dinner and during a walking tour taking in the rich history of the East End.

UACES is grateful to all the staff and students at the University who helped make the event such a success. Particular thanks are due to Paul Copeland, Adam Fagan and Manisha Patel for all their hard work in ensuring the conference ran smoothly.
