Euroscepticism
A UACES Collaborative Research Network since 2011.
In the two decades since the emergence of the European Union with the Maastricht treaty there has been a concerted attempt to build a European political space, typified by the debates on constitutionalisation and democratisation. Much less noticed by both academics and practitioners, but no less important, has been the mobilisation of publics, interest groups and political parties against the integration process. This CRN aims to explore and understand this range of responses – usually, if not always accurately, labelled as eurosceptic – with a view to developing a rounded and considered multi-disciplinary analysis.
The network has its own website for further information: https://sites.google.com/site/uaceseuroscepticismcrn/
