University of Cambridge

The Centre of International Studies at Cambridge brings together experts from across the University and beyond to conduct research and teaching on international issues. Its valuable contribution to public, political and scholarly debate is recognised worldwide.

Over 150 graduate students from around the world are enrolled on its popular MPhil and PhD programmes. in International Relations and Contemporary European Studies each year. Only 1 in 10 of the very well-qualified candidates who meet our exacting standards can be offered a place on the courses each year.

We also aim to maintain and develop our role as advisers to Government departments, corporates, non-governmental organisations and the media in policy areas where our expertise and the outcomes of our research can influence decision-making in the real world.

Above all we are in the business of developing future leaders, whose insight and understanding of strategic issues can contribute directly to improved international relations, the resolution of long-standing conflicts, the protection of human rights, and better living conditions in all regions of the world.
