With over 40 years of experience in teaching and researching a broad spectrum of management, economics and law disciplines, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law provides a supportive and high quality learning environment for students studying at all levels, from undergraduate through to PhD. Research on European issues is chiefly conducted by the Surrey European Law Unit (SELU), located within the School of Law. SELU provides a forum for academics researching on most aspects of European Union law and on the European Court of Human Rights. SELU regularly hosts research seminars, workshops and conferences. Recent research outputs addressed inter alia the national identity of the Member States, EU accession to the ECHR and the legitimacy of the ECHR.
