ESSCA School of Management

Founded in 2006 the Centre for European Integration (CEI) at ESSCA School of Management represents a still young, but original and innovative centre for learning and research in the French business school environment. Based on the conviction that the corporate world and international business do not evolve in a bubble but are subject not only to legislative constraints, but also to overarching economic, social and cultural processes, it provides interdisciplinary input from European Studies to a wide range of business and management-related programmes offered by ESSCA on its campuses in Angers, Paris, Budapest and Shanghai. All of the CEI members are also active members of UACES; some of them are part of the UACES Collaborative Research Networks “The Governance of Sustainability” (since 2009) and "EU-China relations" (since 2012). The CEI is also currently the coordinating institution of a collaborative research project supported by the 7th European Framework Programme (www.free-project.eu). In 2009 the CEI had the pleasure to host the 39th UACES Annual and Research Conference on its main campus in Angers in the Loire Valley.
