Biography

Professor and Head of the International Relations Office at the School of Economics of the University of Coimbra, where she also produced, and currently coordinates, the advanced studies course - 'China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries in World Trade: Commerce, Tourism, Cooperation and Development' (http://www.uc.pt/en/feuc/eea/diplomas/curso_formacao_china). Received her Ph.D. from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London; her Master's degree from the Institut des Hautes Études Européennes, Université Robert Schuman, France, and her Bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences - University of Lisbon, Portugal. . Co-founder of the consulting company ChinaLink and of the Observatory for China in Portugal. She coordinated a project on South-South cooperation involving 'Europe - China Research' and the 'Advice Network', which was supported by the European External Action Service and also conducted a research project on the role of Macau in China´s relations with the Portuguese speaking-countries, which was financed by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia .
