Biography

Gloria González Fuster is a research professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Member of the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group, she investigates legal issues related to fundamental rights, privacy, personal data protection and security, and lectures on fundamental rights in EU law for VUB's Institute for European Studies. She is contributing to the project Promoting Integrity as an Integral Dimension of Excellence in Research (PRINTEGER) and to the action Introducing Data Protection and Privacy Issues at Schools in the EU (ARCADES). She is also member of the Advisory Boards of several EU-funded projects and of the Brussels Privacy Hub, where she co-edits the Brussels Privacy Hub Working Papers.Gloria González Fuster studied Law at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, Journalism at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (including a stay at the Université Paris VIII) and Modern Languages and Literatures at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She has also worked at the European Commission's Citizenship Unit of the Education and Culture Directorate-General and at the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency.
