We are inviting papers for an interdisciplinary research seminar questioning whether the legal frame of Economic and Monetary Union is in irreconcilable tension with the EU's renewed social agenda. These are three out of five questions which papers could address:
Are guarantees of social rights suitable to address social policy shortcomings of new economic governance as policy coordination? Is Treaty change a precondition for addressing the social policy shortcomings of Economic and Monetary Union? Is it wise to promote social policy through "automatic stabilisers" such as an EU unemployment insurance?
Speakers include Prof Ulla Neergaard (Copenhagen), Dr Sotiria Theodorpoulou (ETUI, tbc), Dr Bart Vanhercke (OSE, tbc) and we are also looking for a cooperation with EURO-CEFG
We invite further papers - submit your abstract for 1st December 2017. For more information, click here.
