The standing research group on European space policy has been very active in recent years.
Two books, European Space Policy, edited by Paul Stephenson and Thomas Hoerber (Routledge, 2016) and Theorizing European Space Policy, edited by Emmanuel Sigalas and Thomas Hoerber (Lexington, 2016), have come out.
A special issue with Space Policy on the 'Popularisation of Space', edited by Harald Koepping Athanasopoulos and Thomas Hoerber, is forthcoming for 2017.
For this 8th ESSCA Space Policy Workshop, we would like to invite new paper proposal.
With a future publication opportunity in mind, we would be particularly interested in papers on the past consolidation, present challenges and future perspectives of a European Space Policy.
On this basis we invite research papers from scholars at all levels, including postgraduate students, and particularly welcome submissions from practitioners in the field.
Please send an abstract of 150-200 words to Professor Thomas Hoerber (Thomas.Hoerber@essca.fr)
Deadline: Friday, 27 January, 2017
You will be notified if your application has been successful, at the latest, a month later.
There are no registration fees for this workshop. Venue, lunch and coffee breaks will be covered by ESSCA.
Some travel funding is available, preferably for postgraduate students, from funding for this research group from the Independent Social Research Found.
If you would like to apply for funding support, please send in a budget with your paper.
You can download the PDF for this call for papers.
