Juliana Latifi

The signing of the Association and Stabilization Agreement in June 2006 by the government of Albania with the European Union, achieved a success in Albanian reality. This Agreement realized the centennial dream of the Albanian people to be the part of the European family. The signing of this Agreement requires for the Albania State to accomplish a number of obligations, and over all the approximation of the Albania legislation within the European legislations, as well as one essential condition for this Agreement. The approximation of the Albania legislation within the European legislations is related strongly within the same priorities which are in the Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement. These priorities are focused:1. Political criteria2. Economic criteria3. The ability of the Albania government to support the obligation of the membership in the EU.The approximation of the Albania legislation within communitarian legislation is on challenge in the integration process. This process requires the commitment of all resources and potentials of the Albania government actors and non government actors. In this process everybody should understand the role and the responsibility to realize their duties, where the approximation of Albania legislation should be according to the European standards, towards the integration process.
