Best PhD Thesis
A prize will be awarded annually for the PhD thesis that makes the most substantial and original contribution to knowledge in the area of European Studies.

Best Book
A prize will be awarded annually for the book that has made the most substantial and original contribution to knowledge in the area of European Studies.

Award for Reporting Europe
A new award launched in 2008 to honour a leading journalist whose writing and reporting on Europe has made a real impact. Short-Listed Nominees have been announced.

Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary European Studies
An award for Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary European Studies will be awarded on occasion to one or more individuals who have made a substantial contribution to development or knowledge in the area of European Studies.

JCMS Prize
An award is made for the Best Article published in the JCMS each year.
