JCMS Scholarships

The 2008 JCMS Scholarships are funded solely by JCMS. The deadline for applications was 15 October 2007. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

Purpose of the Scholarships

The scholarships are designed to provide mobility to existing post-doctoral scholars OR postgraduate students from India or China so that they can undertake research in an EU member state or candidate state. The scholarships are not for students looking for funding to enrol in a postgraduate course.


Eligibility Criteria

There is no restriction on nationality.


What to Apply For

The JCMS Scholarships are available to pay for:

All other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the Scholar.


How Much to Apply For

There is an overall maximum of £3,000 (three thousand GBP) available per Scholarship.

You can apply for up to £120 (one hundred and twenty GBP) per week towards the cost of food and local transport (combined).

Please note that the final amount offered may be less than in your application.
