The German Presidency: A Retrospective View

A UACES conference, organised in conjunction with the Institute for German Studies, University of Birmingham and the European Institute at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE).
The conference will offer an examination of the German EU presidency, focusing on (1) the light it throws on changing EU policy and (2) the contribution - or not - to the resolution of EU challenges.
The recently confirmed speaker to speak in the first session will be Dr Reinhard Schweppe, European Dept, German Foreign Office in Bonn.
