Travel Information

All information in this section should be checked independently.

An excellent resource for planning journeys within the UK is the Transport Direct website, which can be used to plan journeys by both public transport or by car.

BY PLANE

Edinburgh is served by Edinburgh Airport which has direct connections to many cities in Europe and beyond. A full list of cities and airlines can be found on the airport website.

http://www.edinburghairport.com/

The viable options for getting to and from the airport are by bus or by taxi. Again, further information can be found on the Edinburgh Airport website. The journey by taxi from the airport to the conference venue is approximately 30 minutes (8.3 miles, 13.4 km).

Edinburgh’s principal railway terminus is Waverley Railway Station. Trains from the West Coast (of the UK) or from Glasgow will also stop at Haymarket Railway Station, at the west end of Princes Street.

The journey time from London to Edinburgh is circa 4.5 hours, depending on the service.

For further information on trains visit www.networkrail.co.uk, www.qjump.co.uk or www.bahn.de.
