The dinner will be held in the prestigious Playfair Library Hall on Tuesday 2 September 2008. The Hall is regarded as one of Scotland’s finest public rooms, and has been used as a library, an exam room, a lecture hall and of course, a banqueting venue. The Hall boasts a magnificent barrel-vaulted ceiling and has a number of alcoves created by the stone columns running along each side.
Bookings for the Conference Dinner can be made later, but please note that there are a limited number of places available.
Funding to Support Attendance for Students
UACES provides funding to assist students in two ways:
Registration fees for students to attend have been heavily subsidised.
In addition, student members of UACES have access to the UACES travel scheme. This scheme has been designed to provide funds for travel assistance where students do not have any access to other funding.
For most students, registration fees and associated expenses, are paid for by their University Department, particularly for those students who are actively participating in the conference by presenting a paper.
