Accommodation

Various accommodation options have been listed below. You will need to book your accommodation directly with Edinburgh First (for Pollock Halls) or a Hotel.

Our recommendation is that, even if you cannot commit 100% to attending the conference just yet, that you book your accommodation now. The Edinburgh Festival puts a serious strain on the availability of rooms so there is no guarantee that you will be able to make a booking later on. Whichever option you choose below, check the cancellation policy first so that if you do need to pull out, you can minimise any costs to yourself.

When looking at accommodation, you can use Google Maps to see how far it is to the conference venue. Just type in the postcode of your accommodation, click on the 'from here' link in the speech bubble and then type in the address or postcode of the conference venue (i.e. Appleton Tower, 11 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9LE).

POLLOCK HALLS OF RESIDENCE
Edinburgh First’s accommodation at Pollock Halls is located on the edge of a royal park, in the shadow of an ancient volcano (safely extinct) and is close to the city centre and the striking new Scottish Parliament building.

The Pollock Halls campus is home to a number of different room types. Edinburgh First have reserved rooms for UACES delegates in Holland House, Chancellor's Court and Baird House. Included in the price is a full Scottish breakfast in the Centro building (the John McIntyre Centre on the map).
