The Travails of the Eurozone

Edinburgh, UK
Friday 24 March 2006

Ref:0630

While the establishment of the European Central Bank and the introduction of the euro have, arguably, been carried out with considerable success, the Eurozone is now suffering from poor economic growth, incomplete financial integration and growing criticisms of both the operation of monetary policy and the coordination (or lack of it) between monetary and fiscal policy. The conference will aim to explore these issues, in ways that are accessible but based on the best economic analysis available.

Further information, including the programme and (in due course) paper downloads, is available at the conference webpage.
