Travel Scheme for Postgraduate Students
As part of an ongoing programme to support students, UACES has been operating a travel scheme to assist students in attending UACES events.
Students attending the conference in Zagreb will be eligible for this scheme and those travelling to Zagreb from outside of Croatia will be able to claim up to a maximum of £100 towards their travel expenses.
Full terms and conditions of the travel scheme are listed in the student section of the UACES website.
Students must be members of UACES to be eligible for this funding.
Thirty two travel grants of £100 are available for UK-based scholars, who are presenting research papers at the conference.
For the purposes of this grant, a UK-based scholar is defined as someone of any nationality who is working, or is resident in the UK and recognised as a UK resident for tax purposes. Grants are available only for those who are at postdoctoral or equivalent level.
This funding is not available to postgraduate students.
The grants will be awarded in strictly sequential order, on a first to register*, first to be accepted basis. Those awarded the grants will be required to provide a copy of any receipts and flight details for their travel.
* By register, we mean the date we receive your registration form to attend the conference, not the date we receive your paper proposal.
The registration fees for postgraduate students and delegates from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia-Montenegro, Turkey or Ukraine have been subsidised by UACES. The rates appear on the Registration page.
The University of Zagreb has made available some subsidised accommodation for postgraduate students OR delegates from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia-Montenegro, Turkey or Ukraine. Full details are on the Accommodation page.
