European Studies Research Students' Conference

King's College London, Monday 15th November 2004

Ref: 0412

This one-day conference is aimed at research students of all levels who are engaged in the field of EU-related studies. The emphasis of the conference will be placed on tackling the specific challenges which arise at varying stages of the doctoral process. This event offers an ideal introduction to the UACES community as well as an opportunity to meet fellow academics who are engaged in related fields of research.

The conference programme has been organised on behalf of UACES and the UACES Student Forum by Stijn Billiet, London School of Economics and Sara Hobolt, University of Cambridge.

Registration
The conference is now fully booked (as of 9/11/04). Anyone wishing to receive information on the regular programme of activities organised by the Student Forum and UACES is encouraged to join UACES as an Associate (Student) member.

The conference is open for any student to attend, whether or not they are a member of UACES. The deadline for registrations is Monday 8th November 2004. It will not be possible to register on the day. All confirmed registrations will be sent joining instructions and a receipt of payment - if you have sent us your registration form, but not received these, you should contact us before the deadline.

Travel Assistance
All UACES student members (Associate or Individual) are eligible to claim back some of their travel expenses to attend this conference. Click here for full details of the travel assistance scheme.

UACES Student Forum Elections
During the conference, there will be elections for the UACES Student Forum. Any student attending the conference or on the Euroresearch email list is eligible to vote. If you wish to stand for election you should contact the current UACES Student Forum Chair, Sara Hobolt (sbh28@cam.ac.uk). Any student may nominate themselves to stand for election, although it is expected that any successful candidate should join UACES (if they are not already a member). Further information about the elections will be posted to the Student Forum website.
